Paris Saint-Germain and Angel Di Maria are in a deadlock position regarding their negotiations about a new contract, according to AS.
Di Maria has been sending out mixed signals from Paris for a while now. He claimed he wanted PSG to be his last European club before returning to Argentina in order to retire in his homeland, but he still reportedly sought a move away from Parc des Princes this summer. Since the 2018/19 season began, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United winger has been on very good form under manager Thomas Tuchel, and with his current contract expiring next summer, he now feels that form should be rewarded with a lucrative new deal.
Apparently, he wants the club to make his salary €12million per year, which is something they are extremely reluctant to do. His agent Jorge Mendes is hinting a possible return to the Premier League as he believes such a figure for his 30-year-old client would be realistic in England.
