PSG eyeing Asier Illarramendi

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up January bid for Real Sociedad midfielder Asier Illarramendi, according to L’Equipe.

The Saints plan to improve their midfield options in the winter, and they want the footballer who would also be eligible to play in the Champions League.

This is why they have decided to drop interest in Fabinho and Danilo Pereira, at least for the time being.

PSG could instead make a move on Real Sociedad hotshot Asier Illarramendi, the player Unai Emery knows well from La Liga.

The 27-year-old successfully kick-started his career at Anoeta and he even broke into the Spain squad, scoring against Israel in his first competitive appearance for La Furia Roja.

A big club move now appears on the cards for the midfielder who failed to impress during a two-year spell with Real Madrid.
