PSG eyeing Carlos Tevez
Turin-based media outlet Tuttosport is reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are readying a fresh assault on Juventus striker Carlos Tevez.
The 30-year-old has developed into a key player for the Bianconeri and the club face a real battle on their hands in an attempt to keep hold of their star forward.
Tevez has another two years left on his deal in Turin and he plans to remain with Juventus until 2016 before returning to finish his career at boyhood club Boca Juniors.
Meanwhile, the Old Lady want him to stay on for at least another year, but plan to offer him a two-year extension.
At the same time, Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring the situation and they could make a move on Tevez if Edinson Cavani leaves the club.
Carlos Tevez has been in excellent form since joining Juventus in a cut-price deal from Manchester City, having bagged 23 goals in 38 Serie A outings.
Sampdoria starlet on Atletico radar
Sky Sport Italia can reveal that La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are hot on the trail of Sampdoria forward Manolo Gabbiadini.
Los Colchoneros have already signed one Serie A star as they recruited Alessio Cerci from Torino this summer, but it appears they are ready to do some more shopping in Italy.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Sampdoria star Manolo Gabbiadini.
Los Colchoneros technical director Andrea Berta watched the Italy international in action in yesterday’s Derby della Lanterna against Genoa.
Manolo Gabbiadini, 22, was signed on permanent basis from Juventus this summer after impressing at Marassi during last season.
He has scored 2 goals in 3 league appearances this term and is widely regarded as one of Italy’s hottest prospects.
Marseille to offload four players in January
Ligue 1 leaders Marseille could stay without up to four players this winter, according to Le 10 Sport.
The French giants are enjoying one of their best starts to a league campaign in recent years, having moved two points clear at the top on the back of six straight victories.
However, the club officials are also thinking about the January transfer window, as they expect to see four first team players leave.
Star footballers Andre-Pierre Gignac and Andre Ayew have entered the final year of their respective contracts, and since neither is likely to be offered a new deal, both players could be sold this winter.
Meanwhile, back-up players Rod Fanni and Benoit Cheyrou are expected to leave as well, with the latter even tipped to be released from his contract early on.
Despite sitting five points clear of Ligue 1 holders Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille can be backed at 9/1 to lift the league trophy.
