Paris Saint-Germain are hot on the trail of Ajax starlet Frenkie de Jong, according to De Telegraaf.
Due to heavy spending in the past few years, the Saints could face FIFA Financial Fair Play sanctions and they are forced to turn to cheaper alternatives when looking for reinforcements for the new season.
Dutch daily newspaper De Telegraaf claims that PSG have set their sights on Ajax youngster Frenkie de Jong, who showed a great deal of potential in his first full season as a first team player.
Having managed 7 assists in 22 Eredivisie outings, the 21-year-old has seen Barcelona and Man City cast admiring glances his way, with the Saints now joining the chase as well.
For the time being, Ajax have no plans to sell their prized asset, but they are not exactly in a position to reject a big money offer.
