PSG eyeing Gaitan, Brahimi
French daily newspaper Le Parisien is reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are hot on the trail of Primeira Liga stars Nicolas Gaitan and Yacine Brahimi.
Having finished the first part of the league campaign in third position, the Saints are desperate to reinforce the squad in the current transfer window.
According to Le Parisien, they are stepping up their efforts to sign long-term targets Nicolas Gaitan and Yacine Brahimi.
The Saints have long been keen on the Argentine winger, who is available for sale at Benfica, provided the price is right.
Meanwhile, PSG boss Laurent Blanc admitted he had been impressed with FC Porto’s summer recruit Yacine Brahimi, who has been in excellent form this season.
At the same time, the Saints are looking at Adnan Januzaj, Kevin de Bruyne and Paul-Georges Ntep as they continue the search for attacking reinforcements.
Spurs rekindle interest in Miguel Lopes
Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are set to return for Sporting Lisbon full-back Miguel Lopes, A Bola can reveal.
Spurs are a bit short of options at both right-back and left-back, and it appears they are set to make their interest concrete in the Portuguese footballer.
The 28-year-old had long ago caught the eye of Tottenham scouts, but Spurs wanted to see how he will recover from a serious injury before making any moves.
And with the experienced defender proving his fitness in December, the Premier League side could submit an official offer for his services in the coming weeks.
Miguel Lopes came through the youth ranks at Benfica, but also played for FC Porto and Sporting Braga before joining the Lions in 2013.
And having represented each of Portugal’s top 4 sides, it appears the full-back is ready to embark on a new challenge.
Lass Diarra awaiting clearance for Inter move
French media outlet L’Equipe has suggested that midfielder Lassana Diarra is awaiting clearance from FIFA as he hopes to complete a free transfer move to Inter Milan.
The Frenchman has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri, but a dispute over his contract situation is preventing the deal from being completed.
Namely, while Diarra believes he is a free agent due to not being paid his wages at Lokomotiv Moscow, the Russian side is adamant the 29-year-old is still under contract.
The player’s representatives have contacted FIFA regarding the matter and the ruling should be made in the coming days.
Lassana Diarra last played for Lokomotiv back in May and he was in talks with several English Premier League clubs in the summer.
His new suitors Inter face high-profile clash against Serie A leaders Juventus tomorrow evening and are 7/1 shot to claim maximum points.
