PSG go after Mauro Icardi

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Paris Saint-Germain are gearing up for a big money move for Mauro Icardi. They are said to be willing to offer £60 million in order to lure the Argentine forward to Ligue 1, with the aim being for him to replace Edinson Cavani who is supposedly on his way out. It’s no secret that Icardi has been moving closer and closer towards the exit door at the San Siro over the course of the last few months, and while he seems to have slightly patched things up with the club, that doesn’t remove his desire to move to a bigger side.

Of course, PSG aren’t going to be the only team in the running, with Barcelona also being heavily linked with Icardi in recent months. If he wound up going to the Nou Camp, he’d likely be replacing Luis Suarez who seems to be moving towards the final stages of his career with the Spanish giants.
