According to The Express, Paris Saint-Germain are gearing up to blade bids for two Barcelona midfielders: Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets. The French champions are beginning to make some waves in the summer transfer window after spending much of the summer focusing on who’s going out as opposed to who’s coming in. Barca, on the other hand, will do well to keep hold of both men given the financial implications at play.
N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba were initially being viewed as the two midfielders that PSG wanted to bring into the club, but unfortunately, neither of those came to fruition. Both of these clubs will have high expectations both domestically and in European competition this season, although if Barca lose Rakitic and Busquets, then they could end up being quite light in the middle of the park.
PSG have kicked off their competitive season with victories over Monaco, Caen and Guingamp.
