French media outlet Canal Supporters is reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up January bid for Benfica striker Jonas.
The Saints are set to offload Jese Rodriguez and are in the market for his replacement, and they obviously aim to sign a player who is eligible to play in the Champions League knockout stages.
Latest reports from France suggest that Benfica forward Jonas has emerged as their top target, having recently returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The 32-year-old has been one of Europe’s most prolific strikers for several years now and he scored amazing 32 goals in 34 league fixtures last term.
PSG coach Unai Emery knows the Brazilian well having worked with him at Valencia, and he has reportedly been in contact with his former footballer.
The good news is that Jonas didn’t make a single appearance in this year’s Champions League for Benfica, meaning he would be eligible to represent PSG in the competition.
