French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their efforts to sign Colombian striker Carlos Bacca from AC Milan, Le 10 Sport has suggested.
The Saints did well to recruit Thomas Meunier, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Hatem Ben Arfa, but they have yet to sign a proper replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And while Edinson Cavani will be given a chance to establish himself as a first choice striker, new boss Unai Emery wants Carlos Bacca to challenge the Uruguayan for a starting berth.
The pair enjoyed a very successful cooperation at Sevilla, going on to lift two Europa League trophies together, and no wonder the Spanish coach wants to be reunited with the striker at Parc des Princes.
It is believed that AC Milan wouldn’t mind selling Bacca provided the price is right, but Atletico Madrid and few other top clubs are also keen on his services.
After winning four successive league titles, PSG can be backed at 1/12 to make it five on the bounce.
