PSG join chase for Julian Weigl

French media outlet L’Equipe is reporting that Paris Saint-Germain have been showing interest in Borussia Dortmund hotshot Julian Weigl.

It is no secret that the Saints plan to sign a long-term successor to veteran midfielder Thiago Motta, and the Germany international is emerging as their top target.

Weigl has shown a great deal of potential while at Borussia Dortmund, whereas he also has 5 Germany caps to his name.

PSG officials believe the 22-year-old would be an excellent addition to the squad, but they are aware he will not be available on the cheap.

Weigl, who has a deal until June 2021 at Signal-Iduna Park, has so far featured in 66 Bundesliga matches, scoring 1 goal.
