Having already strengthened his squad with several signings this summer, Paris Saint-Germain’s new boss Unai Emery is looking to further bolster his squad.
French champions have already acquired the signatures of Hatem Ben Arfa, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Thomas Meunier as former Sevilla manager is looking to build a team to his own liking.
The transfer window is far from being closed for PSG as Emery is looking to bring another high-profile name to Parc des Princes.
According to reports from Bild, Emery is keen to bolster his midfield with Germany captain and Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger.
German international has had a difficult season at Old Trafford and does not feature in Jose Mourinho’s plans so French giants are willing to offer him an escape route to Paris.
The 31-year-old midfielder has only made 18 appearances for Manchester United last term 13 of which were starts.
Schweinsteiger also managed to score one goal for Red Devils last season.
