PSG keen on Isimat-Mirin
According to L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a January bid for Valenciennes defender Nicolas Isimat-Mirin.
The Saints are currently well equipped at the back, but with Diego Lugano and even Mamadou Sakho hoping to leave the club, they need to start thinking about possible replacements.
It is for that reason that the French giants are keeping close tabs on Valencinnes stopper Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, who could arrive at Parc des Princes in the winter transfer window.
Isimat-Mirin, 21, has been in fine form this season, making 18 Ligue 1 appearances and missing just one league fixture.
Paris Saint-Germain plan to purchase the player in the January transfer window, but will probably loan him back to Valenciennes immediately so that he could finish the season at Stade du Hainaut.
L’Equipe reports that France Under-21 international is valued at €5 million, which is well within PSG’s price range.
Bayern plan Holtby swoop
German newspaper Bild understands that Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby.
Holtby, 22, is one of the most sought-after players in world football and he looks set to leave Schalke after failing to agree a contract extension with the Miners.
The player who has just over six months left on his deal previous expressed his desire to play in the English Premier League, with Arsenal hoping to lure him to the Emirates.
However, Bild now claims that Bayern Munich are also preparing an offer for the highly rated midfielder.
The Bavarians will attempt to sign Holtby at a cut-back fee in January, before farming him out on loan to aid his development.
Such a scenario produced excellent results with Philipp Lahm and Toni Kroos, and the club chiefs believe Holtby would also profit from similar arrangement.
Holtby has been showing a lot of potential of late and it does appear he is ready for a big club move.
Juventus make a check on Cagliari trio
Juventus are keeping tabs on no less than three Cagliari footballers, Tuttosport has revealed.
The Isolani are in a difficult financial situation and club chairman Massimo Cellino admitted that they might need to sell several star players in the January transfer window.
Juventus transfer guru Beppe Marotta hopes to take advantage of the situation and sign at least one of the three Cagliari players the Bianconeri are interested in.
Given that Giorgio Chiellini is set for a three-month spell on the sidelines, the Old Lady are expected to step up their interest in centre-back Davide Astori.
Astori, 25, is already a member of Italy national team, which feature quite a few Juventus players, and he will probably be keen on joining the Serie A champions.
Juventus have also been impressed by midfielder Radja Nainggolan, but the problem is Cagliari’s high asking price as well as the fact he is also followed by Milan.
Last but not least, the Bianconeri also plan an assault on striker Mauricio Pinilla, who would arrive as a replacement for Nicklas Bendtner, considering the Dane is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
