Portuguese media outlet Diario de Noticias understands that Paris Saint-Germain are in talks to sign Sporting Lisbon hotshot William Carvalho.
The Saints did well to recruit Benjamin Stambouli as a replacement for Yohan Cabaye, but they are now in the market for another central midfielder seeing as Thiago Motta is nearing the summer exit.
Diario de Noticias has suggested that PSG have already established initial contact with Sporting Lisbon as they hope to lure William Carvalho to Parc des Princes.
The problem is that the 23-year-old is also on the radar of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool, but the Saints appear to be leading the chase at the moment.
The talented footballer recently represented Portugal at the Under-21 UEFA Championship, where his side lost to Sweden in the final.
Carvalho suffered a fractured tibia while on international duty and is set to miss between 10 and 12 weeks of action.
