PSG make move on Ricardo Rodriguez

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are ready to step up chase for Wolfsburg full-back Ricardo Rodriguez, France Football can reveal.

The Saints recently signed Julian Draxler from the Wolves and they now hope to get him reunited with the Switzerland international.

The two men had established a good partnership on the left wing at Wolfsburg and PSG officials believe they can work well together at Parc des Princes as well.

The Saints want Rodriguez to challenge Layvin Kurzawa for the starting berth on the left considering that veteran defender Maxwell is almost certain to leave at the end of the current campaign.

It is believed that Wolfsburg want around €25 million for their prized asset, which is unlikely to prove a problem for free-spending PSG.

The Saints hope to finally launch a serious title challenge in the UEFA Champions League and they can be backed at 40/1 shot to succeed in their quest.
