Following the summer of intense business activity which saw them break the world record for Brazilian superstar Neymar, the French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain are once again being pressured by UEFA.
PSG were forced to transfer list eight players after UEFA threatened to ban the French club for European competition until they work harder to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations.
The Spanish media outlet El Pais suggests that PSG complied and transfer listed Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore, Blaise Matuidi, Lucas Moura, Julian Draxler, Hatem Ben Arfa, Serge Aurier and Thiago Silva.
Out of these eight only Matuidi and Aurier ended up leaving the club for a combined fee which came nowhere near €222 million PSG invested in Neymar. Therefore, the Paris-based club is now once again forced to sell in order to balance their books.
UEFA threats could result in some household names being available for cut-price deals during the winter transfer market as the Qatari owners attempt to avoid being dropped out of Europe.
