Reports coming from the United States claim that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have been asking around for D.C. United playmaker Luciano Acosta.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been earning rave reviews in the MLS and it appears two of the wealthiest football clubs in Europe have set their sights on the player who scored 10 goals and made 17 assists in 2018.
PSG appear to be holding an edge over the Premier League giants with reports suggesting Acosta has already left the D.C. United camp to complete his move to the French heavyweights on the transfer deadline day.
D.C. United have turned down the offer from a Saudi Arabian club earlier this month and were looking to sign the Argentine star on a new contract but an offer worth $10 million from France appears to have persuaded the MLS side to sell their star.
The diminutive playmaker joined D.C. on loan from Boca Juniors in 2018 whereas his contract was bought outright a year later.
