PSG not giving up on Ivan Rakitic

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are not ready to give up the pursuit of Ivan Rakitic despite seeing their efforts to bring the Croatia international this summer fail.

Les Parisiens reportedly offered 90 million to acquire the services of the highly-rated midfielder who decided to snub French heavyweights in order to remain at the Camp Nou.

The latest reports from France, however, are reporting that PSG will not throw the white towel just yet.

Despite saying ‘NO’ to a potential move to Paris during the summer, the 30-year-old midfielder did not sign a contract extension with Barcelona. His current deal runs until the summer of 2021 but Barcelona are in no rush to extend it.

Thomas Tuchel, however, is looking to make midfielder reinforcements with Adrien Rabiot widely expected to leave Paris in January and is said to have identified the Barcelona midfielder as his primary winter target.

Rakitic moved to Barcelona in 2014 and went on to become one of the key members of the Catalan giants during the past four seasons.
