According to recent reports from Marca, Paris Saint-Germain haven’t given up on the hope of signing Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid. Oblak has yet to sign an extension with the Spanish club, with PSG remaining hopeful that they can swoop in and take him off of Atletico’s hands. Right now Madrid are still competing on multiple fronts, so it’s likely that a move away isn’t going to be the first thing on either Jan or the club’s mind for at least a few months yet.
Once the summer transfer window opens, however, it could be a different story altogether. It’s not exactly a secret that Oblak has been interested in the idea of moving away from the club in the past, mainly due to his feelings regarding how he has been treated.
The step between consideration and following through is a big one, though, and making the jump over to PSG would be a big risk considering they already have Buffon and Areola on their books.
