Ligue 1 holders Paris Saint-Germain remain the sole contenders for the signature of a highly-rated Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The Serbian international midfielder has enjoyed a stellar run in the 2017/18 season which attracted plenty of attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Milinkovic-Savic was linked with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus, AC Milan, Real Madrid and Barcelona but Lazio stood firmly behind their €120 valuation of the player which proved to be too big of a stumbling block for many.
Sources around the continent are now reporting that PSG are not ready to give up the chase for Milinkovic-Savic’s signature and are launching a late attack on the Lazio star hoping to bring him as a direct replacement for Goncalo Guedes and Adrien Rabiot.
Guedes was sold to Valencia whereas Barcelona are said to have made a last-ditch attempt to sign Rabiot this week.
PSG have opened talks with Milinkovic-Savic’s representative in response confident that money would not be an issue preventing them from sealing a deal for the Sergeant as Milinkovic-Savic is known in Italy.
