According to a recent report from L’Equipe, the owners of Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be interested in buying Championship club Leeds United. Qatar Sports Investments have long since been intrigued by English football and have always wanted to own a club within the market. With Leeds seemingly being the team that has won the lottery, the next stage of proceedings will be to see whether or not they actually put forward an offer.
They are said to be valuing the club at between £50 million and £70 million, and while that may come as a surprise to some, the fee doesn’t really matter.
All that matters is the takeover itself, because it could wind up completely transforming the Yorkshire club.
We’ve all seen the kind of impact that PSG have been able to have both domestically and in Europe over the last few years, and with that in mind, this could be the big break Leeds fans have been waiting for.
