Despite having already spent more than £200 million to break the world record on former Barcelona star Neymar, French giants Paris Saint-Germain have no intention of slowing down in the transfer market.
The arrival of Kylian Mbapped from AS Monaco – albeit on a loan deal initially – was the first proof but a link to Liverpool star midfielder Philippe Coutinho emerging in the British press is a testament to PSG’s insatiable appetite.
The Sun reports Ligue 1 leaders want to accommodate their first star Neymar’s wish to link up with his national team pal Coutinho and are already preparing a bid for the Liverpool playmaker.
Coutinho has been one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer market and is set to once again be in the centre of attention during winter when the Catalans come back to get them.
Jurgen Klopp appears to have changed his stance on the availability of the Brazilian international and Liverpool are said to have set the price for Coutinho, but PSG have no intention of letting Barcelona get their man without a proper fight.
Liverpool, on the other side, are looking to strengthen their defences and are 9/4 favourites to land Virgil van Dijk in January.
