Paris Saint-Germain look set to complete the signing of midfielder Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting ahead of the Friday’s transfer deadline.
French champions have swooped in for the Stoke City star after selling Goncalo Guedes to Valencia earlier this week.
The 29-year-old Cameroon international will arrive as a free agent. Stoke City agreed on a mutual consent termination and will be happy to get his hefty wage package off their books following the relegation to the Championship.
Thomas Tuchel personally insisted on Choupo-Moting, a player he worked with at Mainz 05.
Choupo-Moting’s versatility in attack is expected to be a very good addition to already flamboyant forward line Tuchel has at his disposal.
Stoke City midfielder is expected to ink a three-year deal with the French giants and should be officially presented as a new PSG player together with Juan Bernat from Bayern Munich, ESPN reports.
