PSG readying bid for Fred

Le 10 Sport has learned that Paris Saint-Germain are hot on the trail of Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred.

The Saints have set out to sign a new holding midfielder as Thiago Motta’s spell at Parc des Princes is drawing to a close, and they are looking at several high-profile footballers.

N’Golo Kante, Fabinho and Marouane Fellaini are all on PSG radar, whereas Shakhtar’s Fred has emerged as a new target.

The Brazilian is widely expected to make a big club move at the end of the season, with Man City and Man Utd reportedly readying summer bids.

Considering that Fred should be a cheaper alternative to Kante and Fabinho, the Saints are expected to step up their interest in the coming weeks.
