PSG set for Boateng talks

According to Bild, Jerome Boateng wants to leave Bayern Munich and talks with Paris Saint-Germain have been arranged for today. The 29-year-old defender has been with the German club since 2011 and in that time, he’s been able to establish himself as one of the best defenders in Europe – if not the world.

Alas, his recent World Cup performances have left many questioning whether or not he can still compete at the highest level, even though it seems as if there’s an obvious answer to that. Boateng hasn’t been shy when it comes to revealing that he is desperate to win another Champions League title, and he’ll likely base the decision regarding his future on which club can provide him with the best opportunity to do so.

Manchester United were also interested but Boateng wasn’t said to be interested in that move, with €50 million reportedly being the fee that would be required in order to lure him away from Bayern to PSG.
