French super club Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly readying a new contract for versatile midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to ESPN.
The France international has long been a transfer target of Premier League club Arsenal, but Rabiot looks set to stay put in Paris and fight for his place in what is a hugely talented PSG side. The decision comes despite the club’s urgent need to offload some of their players in order to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions, which are a danger due to the Parisian giants’ recent purchase of Brazilian winger Neymar for a World Record fee of £198m.
Rabiot has made 174 appearances for PSG in six seasons with the club, and the midfielder has been deployed both in a defensive role and in central midfield. The 22-year old has two goals and three assists in all competitions this season and looks set to add to that tally as he continues to develop in an exciting and ambitious side.
