PSG star wants summer exit
Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho has revealed that he plans to quit Parc des Princes this summer.
Widely rated as one of the hottest prospects in European football, the Frenchman has seen his chances limited under Carlo Ancelotti and he is on the verge of leaving the Saints.
The 22-year-old claims that he will certainly leave the club if another defender arrives in the summer transfer window.
“If a defender comes, I will do everything I can to leave,” Sakho said to L’Equipe. “My goal this season is to play, to be important for the club.”
The talented stopper is so angry with the club chiefs that he would consider joining another French club.
“Few years ago, I would only have joined a foreign club. But now I think I can wear the jersey of another team in Ligue 1 in order to demonstrate that people at Paris were wrong not to believe in me.”
Despite his fragile age, Sakho has already made 124 Ligue 1 appearances for the Saints, and scored 5 goals in the process.
Santos make Ganso available for sale
Brazilian side Santos have confirmed they would consider any offers that arrive for star midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso.
The Peixe have so far resisted the temptation to sell one of their prized assets, but the situation has changed when the playmaker rejected a new contract offer from the club.
Ganso admitted earlier this week he was disappointed with club’s latest offer, adding fuel to speculations that he could finally complete a switch to Europe this summer.
Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has now confirmed speculations linking the player with a summer exit.
“Only Neymar is non-negotiable. All other players, including Ganso, have the door open, depending on the proposals that arrive,” Ribeiro told Record.
“If Ganso wants to leave and there are interested clubs, then we are willing to listen to offers for him.”
The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the best midfielders in South America, and he is set to take part in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Julio Cesar linked with Milan
AC Milan are weighing up move for Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar, according to Sport Mediaset.
The Neroazzurri are looking to trim down the squad and release some of the high earners, with the Brazilian keeper one of those expected to leave this summer.
His compatriot Lucio has already had his contract terminated, while Diego Forlan could be the next player to leave.
Should Cesar be available on a free transfer, AC Milan are expected to make a move and offer the player an opportunity to stay in the same city.
Julio Cesar would compete with Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia for the number one spot at San Siro.
The experienced keeper joined the Neroazzurri in December 2004 and he may be forced to leave the club after seven seasons at Giuseppe Meazza.
Cesar was almost ever present for Inter last season, having started 33 Serie A matches.
