Le Parisien is reporting that Southampton are keeping close tabs on Paris Saint-Germain forward Jean-Christophe Bahebeck.
The 21-year-old has faced fierce competition for starting places at Parc des Princes, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, Lucas Moura and Ezequiel Lavezzi all in front of him in the pecking order.
Bahebeck, nonetheless, managed to amass 21 competitive appearances this season, scoring 3 goals in the process, although he only started five of those matches.
But, with FIFA Financial Fair Play rules in mind, PSG officials extended the youngster’s deal until June 2019, although that does not mean the forward will be staying with the Saints for the foreseeable future.
Namely, Bahebeck has a long list of admirers in English Premier League, with Southampton reportedly leading the chase for his services.
The France Under-21 international continues to wait for his chance at Parc des Princes, although he would probably seriously consider any offer that arrives.
