Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to enter the fray for Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz, according to Le10Sport.
Havertz has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe due to his fantastic breakthrough with the Bundesliga side, and the Ligue 1 champions will certainly face strong competition in the race for his signature. Reportedly, he is being closely considered by the likes of Champions League holders Liverpool, 20-time English champions Manchester United, reigning La Liga holders Barcelona and their arch-rivals Real Madrid, as well as the German champions, Bayern Munich.
Bayern have a strong tendency to draw all German talent to themselves, while Real and Barcelona are always on the lookout for potential new superstars. Manchester United are in dire need of a rebuilding job, and Liverpool still haven’t signed a like-for-like replacement for Philippe Coutinho, whom they sold in January 2018. Havertz seems to fit the bill for any of these clubs, while PSG desperately look for ways to challenge them all for European supremacy.
At this point, it seems whoever is serious about signing the 20-year-old attacking midfielder will have to be willing to part with a sum no less than €100 million.
