PSG to launch assault on Rachid Ghezzal

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are readying summer bid for Lyon midfielder Rachid Ghezzal, Le 10 Sport has suggested.

The Saints have long ago registered their interest in the talented footballer, but they have yet to submit an official proposal.

But, with Ghezzal widely expected to leave Lyon for greener pastures this summer, PSG are closely monitoring the situation.

Namely, the 24-year-old has just another year left on his deal at Parc OL, and he has so far been unable to find an agreement over contract extension.

Paris Saint-Germain officials will wait until August before making their interest concrete and they will probably try and sign Ghezzal unless he pens a new deal with les Gones.

The player, who switched his allegiance from France to Algeria last year, has so far made 81 competitive appearances for Lyon, and he registered 11 goals and 13 assists in the process.
