French media outlet L’Equipe has learned that Paris Saint-Germain plan to sever the ties with Ivorian defender Serge Aurier at the end of the season.
The highly rated full-back was dropped form the squad after insulting coach Laurent Blanc and a number of teammates in an interview, and there is a good chance he has already played his final game for the club.
While PSG officials have resisted temptation to immediately cancel his contract, they are expected to do so when the current campaign comes to an end.
Even though Aurier has a deal until June 2019, there is a good chance he will be allowed to leave on a free transfer, although the club bosses could change their minds and decide to earn some money in the process.
After defeating Chelsea 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League tie, the Saints are 4/11 favourites to qualify for the quarter-final.
