Paris Saint-Germain are looking at Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero as a potential replacement for Mauro Icardi, according to Fichajes. It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that Icardi could leave PSG in the summer of 2021 and is wanted by several clubs in Italy. If the 28-year-old does leave, then head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants his Argentine compatriot Aguero to replace him.
Aguero will leave City at the end of the season and will become a free agent. The 32-year-old Argentina international striker has had injury problems in recent times, but he is now fit and available. The former Atletico Madrid star is a proven goalscorer and a serial winner with City, and he would be able to do a brilliant job for PSG, at least in the short term.
According to WhoScored, Icardi has made 10 starts and five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for PSG so far this season, scoring five goals and providing three assists in the process. The Argentina international striker has also played twice in the Champions League for the French club this season, according to WhoScored.
