Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to step up their pursuit of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos by offering him a three-year deal worth €20 million per season, according to AS. In that way, they look to convince him to leave the Spanish capital with Real willing offer him no more than a one-year extension with an option on another, depending on numerous uncertain conditions.
Apparently, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Real to find common ground with the 34-year-old defender over a new deal. Ramos has already made it perfectly clear to the club that he would like to retire at the Santiago Bernabeu, though he is yet to discuss the matter with club president Florentino Perez. Having given 16 years of his career to Los Blancos, Ramos believes he deserves a deal which would guarantee him at least two years beyond the current one, which is set to expire at the end of the season.
The clock is ticking, and Ramos will be allowed to start discussing a free transfer with another club at the turn of the year.
