Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Napoli’s Victor Osimhen as their primary target to replace the departing Kylian Mbappe this summer, and according to Corriere dello Sport, they’re likely not to be put off by the €130 million release clause in the striker’s contract. If all else fails, they might well be willing to meet it to get they want to lead their attacking line from next season.
Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis, a notoriously difficult man to negotiate with, has already admitted this season is likely to be Osimhen’s last at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, though it’s believed he’s still holding out for the full release clause, unwilling to give up a single cent.
Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea have also been credited with interest in the 25-year-old Nigerian, but the report from the Italian outlet claims PSG stand out “like the Eiffel Tower” in the race for his signature.
