Paris Saint-Germain have expressed their interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro, according to 13 TV.
The Saints are not exactly desperate for midfield reinforcements after Thiago Motta extended his contract, but they, nonetheless, aim to lure the Brazilian footballer to Parc des Princes.
PSG and Real presidents Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Florentino Perez joked about Casemiro during the Champions League draw, but it is believed that the French giants are very serious about launching an assault on the 23-year-old footballer.
Casemiro returned to Santiago Bernabeu after impressing on loan at FC Porto, but he is likely to struggle for regular playing time in Madrid with the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Mateo Kovacic all in front of him in the pecking order.
The two clubs have been pitted against each other in the Champions League group stages and the two matches will serve as a perfect opportunity for PSG officials to make an inquiry about the Brazilian.
