Paris Saint-Germain forward Nene has admitted that he could return to Brazil in the near future.
Given that he has just over six months left on his deal at Parc des Princes, the Brazilian is widely expected to leave Paris in the January transfer window.
Big European clubs are lining up for his signature, which is hardly surprising when we know that he will be available at a cut-back price in the winter.
Nevertheless, the player now reveals a return to Brazil is the most realistic option as he wants to get reunited with his family.
”I want to get closer to my children who live in Brazil,” Nene told Brazilian internet provider UOL.
“Brazilian football has improved a lot and offers good opportunities to the players. Am I a wandering soul? No, actually I am just doing my best for my career and my life.”
Nene joined Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco in the summer of 2010, and scored no less than 35 Ligue 1 goals during his first two seasons at Parc des Princes.
The 31-year-old has, however, struggled for form this season and has failed to get on the scoresheet in seven league matches.
