PSG’s Nene hints at Santos switch
Paris Saint-Germain forward Nene has admitted he is flattered by the reported interest from Santos.
The Brazilian giants yesterday revealed they were in negotiations to sign Robinho from AC Milan, and they could now sign another high-profile player from Europe.
PSG star Nene has dropped a hint that he could join Santos in the January transfer window.
“I do not know if I will return to Brazil. I’d like to, but I could continue in Europe,” the 31-year-old told reporters at the San Paulo airport.
“In any case, it would be a great honour to be able to play alongside a player like Neymar. This is a club I know, I did not play there, but they are great.”
Nene is eager to leave Parc des Princes in search of first team football and the mere fact he was given permission to fly to Brazil suggests he is on the verge of leaving the Saints.
The highly rated forward still has a couple of good years left ahead of him and would certainly be a great addition to the squad at Estadio Urbano Caldeira.
Inter reignite interest in Rossi
Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Inter are not giving up on Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.
The Neroazzurri have been following the highly rated forward for over two years now and could finally make an official bid for his services.
Inter officials did not want to bid for Rossi until he proved his fitness, but they, nonetheless, plan to lure the 25-year-old to Giuseppe Meazza before the start of the 2013/2014 campaign.
Rossi is unlikely to be back in action until March, after undergoing a third surgery on injured knee, but the Neroazzurri may have to sign him in January if they want to beat other interested clubs to the player’s signature.
After the striker missed more than a year of action, his price has dropped to around €10 million, and Inter plan to take advantage of the situation and sign a world-class player at a bargain price.
If Rossi indeed begins light training in March, the Italian giants would have more than enough time to nurture him back to fitness before the new season starts.
HSV confirm Kacar joining Hannover
Hamburger SV have moved to confirm reports linking midfielder Gojko Kacar with a January move to Hannover.
Kacar, 25, was one of the players placed on the transfer list as HSV attempted to trim down the squad and it appears he will have no problems finding a new club.
Hamburger SV sporting director Frank Arnesen has confirmed that the player is on the verge of joining Hannover.
“The clubs are not far apart, it’s now up to the player to reach an agreement with Hannover,” former Chelsea official told Bild.
Gojko Kacar was regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in Europe when he joined HSV from Hertha back in 2010, but numerous injuries prevented him from fulfilling his potential at Imtech Arena.
The Serbia international made just 44 Bundesliga appearances for the Red Shorts, scoring one goal in the process.
He has only recently returned into action after recovering from an ankle injury, but hasn’t made a single league appearance this season.
