PSV Eindhoven are on the verge of agreeing a deal for AZ Alkmaar starlet Adam Maher, according to De Telegraaf.
With the club set to earn around €9 million from the sale of Jeremain Lens to Dynamo Kiev, they are set to start the summer recruitment.
The first player set to arrive at Philips Stadium is Netherlands international Adam Maher, with his current employers AZ Alkmaar confirming contacts.
“Marcel Brands (PSV technical manager) has informed me of the interest by telephone,” AZ Alkmaar technical director Earnest Stewart confessed to De Telegraaf.
Ajax were also keen on the highly rated midfielder, but they seem to have turned their attention to Lerin Duarte, making way for PSV to complete the deal.
Adam Maher, 19, has made it clear that he wants to leave the club in the summer transfer window, but everything suggests he will remain in Dutch Eredivisie.
The talented footballer has largely impressed last season, registering 7 goals and 5 assist in 31 Eredivisie matches.
