PSV close in on Chelsea’s Bruma

Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad has learnt that PSV Eindhoven are on the verge of signing Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma.

The player and his agent met with PSV technical director and head coach Phillip Cocu on Monday to negotiate a move to Philips Stadium.

Twente and few other clubs are also keen on the talented defender, but the Dutch giants seem to have convinced him that he will be integral to their plans.

Jeffrey Bruma has a year left on his deal with Chelsea and it would probably take an offer in the region of €4 million to sign him this summer.

The 21-year-old joined the Blues from Feyenoord in 2007, but has since made just 4 Premier League appearances for the club.

He has spent the previous season on loan at Hamburger SV, where he has featured in 18 Bundesliga games and scored one goal.
