PSV Eindhoven and FC Twente play out goalless draw

PSV Eindhoven and FC Twente both failed to make a significant gain on the Eredivisie leaders AZ Alkmaar after playing out a goalless draw.

In the first half, both sides had many opportunities to win the match but they both proceeded to hit the woodwork more often than they did the goal netting.

The second half saw far fewer chances as they both settled for a point each.

AZ Alkmaar leads the Eredivisie. PSV are lying in fourth place eight points behind while FC Twente are in third place only four points behind AZ Alkmaar.

Today AZ Alkmaar plays NEC while second-placed Ajax Amsterdam entertains ADO Den Haag.

Ajax Amsterdam is three points behind AZ.
