PSV Eindhoven and Bursaspor drew 1-1 draw in their Karnten Cup clash in Austria.

Bursaspor, who finished third in last season’s Turkish league, got off to a bright start and took the lead just before the half hour mark when Turgay Bahadir finished from close range.

Bahadir is no stranger to scoring in Austria after starting his career at Rapid Vienna.

The Turkish side went in 1-0 up at the break.

However, PSV came out refreshed in the second half and hit the post through Kevin Strootman.

The Dutch side did eventually equalise when Dries Mertens capitalised on a defensive lapse to score.

The goal was Mertens’ third in pre-season and ensured the game finished all square.

Next up for PSV in the Karnten Cup is Valencia on Tuesday, Bursaspor face Leicester City on Wednesday.
