PSV Eindhoven are the latest side to have joined the race for Standard Liege forward Michy Batshuayi, reports Voetbal International.
With Ola Toivonen leaving this winter and Tim Matavz widely expected to follow next summer, the Eredivisie giants are on the lookout for a new centre forward.
And according to Voetbal International, they have made Standard Liege starlet Michy Batshuayi their primary target.
The 20-year-old has largely impressed over the last couple of season, catching the eye of Europe’s top clubs in the process.
However, given that his release clause stands at mere €8 million, PSV Eindhoven hope they can win the chase for the player’s signature.
The Belgium Under-21 international has been scoring goals for fun ever since he nailed down a regular starting berth at Stade Maurice Dufrasne, and he already has 17 goals in 27 league matches this season.
His suitors PSV host Utrecht on Saturday looking for their sixth successive league triumph and they are 2/9 to succeed in their quest.
