PSV Eindhoven have announced the signings of Dries Mertens and Kevin Strootman from Utrecht on their official website.
The players have signed five-year deals with the Dutch giants, with the combined fee believed to be around €13 million.
Belgium international Dries Mertens arrives as a replacement for winger Balazs Dzsudzsak, who joined Anzhi Makhachkala last month.
“It’s simply amazing to have the chance to play for PSV. They always play for the league title and this transfer is like a dream come true. It took a while to complete the move, but I’m pleased that it’s now a done deal,” Mertens was quoted as saying.
The 21-year-old Strootman, who’s already played for Netherlands national team, should replace Osasuna-bound Orlando Engelaar.
“I have very high expectations of my transfer to PSV and I’m eager to play for silverware here. I am very proud to have signed here and can’t wait to prove my worth,” Strootman told club’s official website.
