PSV Eindhoven have done well in recent years with getting the best out of their talented youngsters, but it looks like this summer they have decided to add some experience to the squad. And they are doing that with the addition of Konstantinos Mitroglou. The Dutch giant signed the Greek international on a season-long loan.
According to media in the Netherlands, PSV have already agreed a loan deal worth 1.25 million euros, which would see the player move to Eindhoven, after his not-so-great spell at Galatasaray. Mitroglou was loan from Marseille to the Turkish club, but Galatasaray were happy to cut that loan short. That is why he was then moved to PSV, even though Mitroglou was expected to stay in Turkey until the end of 2019-20 season.
Mitroglou is set to make a medical in Eindhoven on Thursday, after which he will be officially announced as their latest signing. PSV finished runners-up in Eredivisie last season.
