New Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis is keen on making Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes his first signing at Selhurst Park, according to the Metro.
The Scotland international has scored thirty-seven goals in sixty-five appearances for the Lancashire club since moving from Huddersfied Town, where he boasted an even more impressive strike ratio.
Rovers’ rejected a £6m approach from Wigan Athletic for the 23 year old during the summer, though the Eagles are hoping that a bid of £8m will be enough to persuade them to do business.
Former Stoke City boss Pulis was named as Ian Holloway’s replacement today, but watched the club beat Hull City at the weekend, and sent a scout to watch Rhodes against Reading.
Palace are desperate for goals after mustering just seven so far this season, the worst record in the division, while summer signing Dwight Gayle is their top scorer with just two.
