(GSM) – Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is looking to improve his squad this summer. The Potters are on the course for another Premier League survival for a third successive season.
However, Pulis is set to talk with chairman Peter Coates in order to discuss this summer’s transfer budget as he plans for improvements in the squad for next season.
“I will speak to Peter and hopefully there will be finances available because you mustn’t stand still. You always look to improve,” Pulis told The Sentinel.
“I have a plan in my mind about the way this club should go. Three years in the Premier gives you enough time to establish yourself.
“To do that, we’ve got to get one or two younger players of quality into the group and then they will grow with the established players.
“We’ve brought in a young goalkeeper in Asmir Begovic, who looks absolutely brilliant in training. Then we’ve got the likes of Ryan Shawcross and Robert Huth.
“We’ve got to get a few more top young players, added to one or two experienced players, to keep us growing and growing.
“If you don’t do that, you can fall away.”
