Pulisic happy to fight for Chelsea place

A few days ago, reports in Spain suggested that Chelsea new-boy Christian Pulisic was unhappy with the lack of game-time under manager Frank Lampard and was playing with the idea of asking to be sent out on loan in January. However, the player himself says he is happy to stay and fight for a place in the team.

As quoted by Sky Sports, the 21-year-old USA international said that even though he isn’t getting as many minutes on the pitch as he would like, he feels that Lampard sees him as a part of the team and he was happy about getting a chance off the bench against Southampton on Sunday. He admits it was difficult for him when he was left out of the squad altogether for Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Lille, but he has no intention of giving the fight up.

Pulisic also revealed it’s not always easy to escape the pressure of the price the London club paid for his services (around €65 million), but he’s doing his best not to let it affect him.
