Puncheon completes Palace loan move

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Jason Puncheon on a season-long loan from Southampton, the Mail Online understands.

The move sees the 27 year old reunite with manager Ian Holloway, who he played for at Blackpool in a loan spell during the second half of the 2010/11 Premier League campaign.

The Eagles manager had stressed that he was looking to add more attack minded players before the transfer window closes, and with six goals from midfield last season, the former Plymouth Argyle man goes some way to filling the void left by Wilfred Zaha.

Puncheon played for Palace as a child, and has admitted that it is a dream come true to have the chance to play at Selhurst Park.

He is set to go straight into the match day squad for Saturday’s trip to Stoke City, where the club will be hoping to pick up their first points of the new campaign.
