According to France Football, Qatar are interested in bringing Arsene Wenger in to become their national team manager – and have even approached him, potentially with an offer. The Frenchman hasn’t given any indication as to where he might end up next ever since leaving Arsenal back in May, and it’s entirely possible that he retires from management altogether.
Arsene has also been heavily linked with a director role at Paris Saint-Germain, which is a club with its own fair share of problems.
The controversy surrounding Qatar and the 2022 FIFA World Cup likely isn’t going to go away anytime soon, and rightly so. Some may even question Wenger’s thought process if he does decide to go ahead with the deal, with many noting that it would almost certainly be a money-driven decision.
Either way, though, it certainly feels like Qatar are going to try and go all out in order to try and succeed when the World Cup rolls around.
