Premier League strugglers QPR are pondering a loan deal for Toronto FC striker Jermain Defoe, according to the Daily Mail.
The Rangers had several bids rejected for the former Tottenham star this summer, but they plan to rekindle their interest in January.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp hopes to sign Defoe on a short-term loan during the close season in the MLS and no doubt the player himself will be interested in such a proposal.
The 32-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League of late and he refused to deny such a possibility a while back.
Toronto FC fans have questioned the striker’s commitment in light of the transfer talk, but Defoe did well to score 11 goals in 19 league appearances.
The former England international has worked with Harry Redknapp at Tottenham and Portsmouth and the pair could now be reunited at a third club.
