The Daily Express is today reporting that Queens Park Rangers are the latest club to emerge as contenders to sign Marseille forward Loic Remy in this January transfer window.
Remy has attracted the attention of a number of clubs over the past year or so and it is being suggested that Harry Redknapp went to watch him in action for the Ligue 1 side on Sunday evening.
If QPR do make a move, it is thought they might have to fight off the likes of West Ham United and Newcastle United as both are keen to sign the Frenchman to boost their attacking options.
Redknapp wants to sign a couple of players in the January transfer window, but is wary of changing things around too much as that could have been one of the reasons for their poor start in the English Premier League.
However, if someone of Remy’s quality is available and QPR can come up with the right amount of cash, then it would surly be a good move for the club and give them a chance of survival as he is a real talent.
If a deal does go through, then West Ham and Newcastle will look elsewhere.
